Heater/A/C Control

OK, i just bought an 86 Trans Am c couple of weeks ago and i'm in love with it. The guy was asking $1500, but i talked him down to $1300.... it is in pretty good shape. Miles are kinda high (123,000), but besides that, it was a pretty good deal.
One of the problems with it is that the A/C/Heater Control Cluster is busted. I also have a stock 86 firebird that i'm using for parts.
I was wondering if I could use the controls out of the stock firebird in the TA. It looks like a different control cluster, and i've had people tell me that it has different relays.
I love my t-tops, but when it starts getting hotter out, i'm gonna need that AC.

Thank You

They should be the same.. the controls themselves only have the fan speed switch & the vacuum selector for controlling the vents

Are you refering to the older push button style vs. the two sliders and the ****?

I need to know if these are interchangeable as well. Want to switch to the push button style with only one small slider for a rebuild that I am doing to my center console.
