which is your favourite car in these days
which is your favourite car in these days
It's the question that goes through every car guy's head just about every day. And since my friends and family know me as a 'car guy', it's also a question they shoot my way regularly. In fact, its crossed my mind so many times in so many forms, I invariably turn not to the answer, but to the next set of questions. First off's the big one: "How much do we have to spend?" If this is pure no-holds-barred ultimate dream-machine then the answers, like the cars, come fast and furious. Or I'll get side-tracked with questions like, "If there is a dollar amount limit, can I start with that? For the sake of fun, lets say $100,000?" Which leads to silliness like, "For that, I could get a new M3 AND a three-year old Elise," and so on.

I don't have a Favorite 'NEW' car these days, I like all cars, new 5.0 Coyote GT is a good improvement, the GT500 runs like Hell, I'd Box Ali for a ZL1, I'd like the 45th Anniversary SS and will try to get one. I like the new Jaguar XKR-S, 2007 Nissan Maxima, Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG & CLS63 AMG, Ford Crown Victoria, Chevy Impala SS, Bel Air, Firebird, Corvette, I'm all over the place

Re: which is your favourite car in these days
Since this thread hasn't been locked yet...no question, for me it would be the Cadillac CTS-V station wagon. I hate attracting attention when I'm driving, and it's the ultimate sleeper. It would have to be an automatic as it's just plain wrong to have a manual transmission in a station wagon.
Just for the record, I hate the 5th gen Camaro (too heavy, can't get t-tops, impossible to see out of, no trunk space, worse gas mileage than 4th gen's, and not enough power compared to comparable Mustangs), and I get enough Corvettes from work.

Re: which is your favourite car in these days
An off-topic board would be nice to have sometime in the future for exactly these kind of questions.
New cars are boring for the most part, but the three cars that catch my eye are the 2014 Corvette, Camaro ZL1, 2013 Lincoln MKZ, and the Shelby GT500. Mercedes' are overplayed and seemingly generic. Bentley's, Lamborghini's, and the like are a fun sight in the financial district.
But cars from the 90's on down are the most appealing to me lol.

I have to agree with the cadillac hatch its fast handles and still a grocery getter. No dodge. New Corvette I would put a third gen body on it or sell it buy a couple of 3rd gens and pocket the rest. Under 100k My dream car is an Ariel Atom its a street legal F1 car.

Re: which is your favourite car in these days
Favorite car? I can't decide. I enjoyed all my MGB's, my Porsche 914, my '86 Honda CRX (ran in C-prepared SOLO II autocrossing and SOLO I hill climbs), and really loved my 1962 Vette, and my 1977 Vette (great road car). Right now my favorite is my 1986 Z28. Have always liked Camaros, and this one has room for the wheel chair I have to use now. It is one of few vehicles I really like that I can still get into and drive. Up until my Harley was totaled, my daily drivers were the 1977 Vette and the Harley.
