hawks 5 inch i think is the best looking, next to that, the 91-92 z28 high rise wing.

i like the 91-92 z28 spoiler. only thing is, if you decide that route you will hafta fill up the holes on the quarters where the 2 end pieces went. and drill new ones for the hi rise. no big deal either way.

I personally like the trans am wrap around wing. Back when i had my old 85 I couldn't find a replacement anywhere.. given I was 17 and couldn't dig deep enough in my wallet to buy new.

I like the stock RS spoiler the best. I have the wrap around on my TA and I like my stock RS spoiler better.

I love my 91 Z28 spoiler. It gives the car a more modern look. However if I bought a car without a spoiler I would have to go with the Hawks 5" spoiler.

I love the Z28 hood and high rise spoiler setup!
But I also love the stock 3 piece and Hawks 5" spoiler with an SS hood.

Re: What is the best looking spoiler on a third gen?

anyone ever put the hawks 5inch on a T/A? or even a hi rise on a TA with some good pics? I have a hawks replacement on my GTA and it just doesnt look as good as the stock wrap around, mainly because the tips of the wing along the glass are more squared off, while the original rubber ones were way more pointy!

Re: What is the best looking spoiler on a third gen?

I think I'm the only one on this board that doesn't like the 5 in spoiler, or the 91-92 high rise for that matter. The 5 in just looks goofy to me and the high rise just doesn't look like it belongs on a Camaro. To me nothing beats the stock 3 piece, but the 88 low profile spoiler can look pretty sweet too. To each their own though.

I'm not a huge fan of the 5" spoiler. On some cars it looks awesome, and others it looks out of place or like an afterthought. I think they go better on cars without ground effects. Sort of like an updated second gen. On Irocs or Z28's it's just too much going on. I think I'd like the other aftermarket one that is 4" better (still haven't seen that though). I do like the factory 91-92 high rises though. I really like the slightly taller factory 3pc spoiler with the 3rd brake light in it. Planning on using one of those with the light shaved for my current car.

I've never seen one of the 4in ones, that might look good. And I completely agree on the 5 in with no gfx, but it still doesn't look as good as a normal iroc.

I was partial to the stock spoiler that I had on my "89" IROC until I found a "wing" I like even better..Its the "88" shorty wing . Yes a "wing" is called a "wing" and a "spoiler" is called a "spoiler".

Re: What is the best looking spoiler on a third gen?

'91-'91 Z28 Spoiler is definitely the Baddest 3rd Gen Camaro Spoiler Made from the factory.

I Personally think the Best Spoiler for the 3rd Gen Trans Am was the Knight Rider '82-'84 spoiler. then of course 4th Gen was the Tall WS6 wing.

I feel the same, and actually have the shorty spoiler on my 84 now.

I Love Hawks 5' but really hate the Gaps it has. I am on a love/hate relationship with the Z28 wing.

It "totaly" depends on the car. For example I like wings and beleave a high rise would look out of place on my car so I went with a short wing and think it compliments my stile/stance perfectly, blending in with the 2in. cowl.

I use this stuff on my blackouts and never had an issue. 3M Dual lock velcro strips. Just make sure to clean the surfaces well first and this stuff will stick very well. I was amazed at how well it worked.http://www.ebay.com/itm/3M-DUAL-LOCK-VELCRO-STRIPS-HEAVY-DUTY-FASTENERS-1-W-X-6-FT-ROLL-/251240515582?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a7f1a07fe

Where did you get that wing from??? That's really cool and looks great on your car!

I like the 91-92 Z28 spoiler better than any spoiler/wing on any generation Camaro/Trans Am. It definitely gives the car a sporty look to it.

Re: What is the best looking spoiler on a third gen?

I am also a big fan of the '91-'92 Z spoiler. My '84 SC had the regular 3 piece on it when I bought it, but I changed it out to the '91 style when I had it painted last year. I think a modern twist to it that would be cool is to add an LED third brake light into it. Don't think I've seen that done before.

I don't have a preference on the Camaros; they all look good, however on the Firebirds, I prefer the '82-'85 Trans Am spoiler, not the later wrap-around style...

If you're going to go through the trouble of erasing your license plate, you should consider doing something about the reflection.

The '91-'92 Z/28 spoiler is the best looking on a 3rd gen Camaro.

IMO the 91-92 spoiler Z28 spoiler was a step backwards. It had looked fine for 9 yrs up until then. I owned one and do like some 91-92 cars but have never been a fan of that F41 type abomination Lol.

Man i thought I was the only one. I think the 91-92 z28 spoiler is fine on 91-92 cars with 91-92 ground effects but when it’s on 90 and older cars it doesn’t look right at all. I prefer the 3 piece spoiler.

I think the 5” is a little too much but somewhere between it and the factory 3 piece would be perfect

1989 Formula Aerowing is my all time favorite personally. And it works at 100MPH. Not that I would know about that....

If I were to buy this spoiler does it happen to fit on an older 3rd gen? I have an 85 and I've always wanted this spoiler.
