How do I remove my wipers?

I know it's probably a dumb question, but I figured I'd ask instead of just trying to figure it out and breaking something. Today I sanded and painted the strip around my hatch and while I was looking at my car, I saw that my wipers look like hell. The paint has come off somehow and I want to take them off and repaint them black again. I'm not talking about blades, I want the whole thing off. How do I remove it? Thanks.

i took them off another gm once, but i'm not sure that it's the same on out cars. check at the base of the arm, to see if there is a little tab at the bottom. if so, push it in or pull it out, whichever way it goes, and the arm should slide off. just make sure you note the position on it, because it's splined and you'll have to line it up again

Just had mine off yesterday. There is a small tab that you pull out, then push down slightly at the hinged part of the wiper and then lift up at the very bottom. It's very easy.

I found the tab. It was hard to pull out but I managed with some pliers. Is it supposed to be that hard to pull? It only comes out VERY slightly. If I lift the wiper, I can pull it out a little more. Then I try to pull it off and it doesnt come off. Is the tab supposed to come all the way off? I appreciate the help

Those damn tabs freeze up all the time. I cut my finger on the ***** once. Spray it w/ some WD and/or put some anti-seize on it..... not that you are removing your wipers alot

No, the tab does not come all the way off. It just slides out a little ways and then lift at the lowest part of the wiper.
