I have had quite a few problems with the windshield washer portion of my wiper motor on my '82 Z28. I have agood motor assy from an '86. I want to install it on my '82. But I can not seem to figure out how to make it work properly (the wiring is different). Has anyone done this conversion? How do I convert the wiring?

also recently obtained a
'69 chevelle SS396 w/Turbo 400,3.31 posi,11.0 to 1, headers,etc. Latest project car,'86 IROC stock 305TPI hit on left side,but not too bad

 

The 84 and newer units have a different bolt pattern and won't mount to the firewall, plus the shape of the firewall itself changed in that area between the 83 and 84 model years, there isn't room to mount the longer motor assembly.
Your best bet would be to mount the pump seperately on the firewall or inner fender, and run the power wires and fluid hoses to it.
