Gauge Needles...remove them?

I have a 88 Camaro gauge cluster and I can't seem to get the needles off. Is there a trick to this or are they just stuck on? I dont want to break or bend them so I thought Id ask the correct way to remove them. Thanks guys

they just pull off.the ones o my 86 were stuck bad and I broke 2.pry carefully on the back of the little circle as close to the needle shaft as possible.I broke part of the circle so i just glued it back when I put them back together.

I broke mine too but I didn't care because I was buying all new. Here's a helpful hint - use a fork to lift the needles. Seriously! The prongs from the fork put equal pressure on each side of the round piece holding the needle in place. I didn't think of this until after I broke the first one. Good luck!

Be careful to mark where all the needles point with your ignition on! I made this mistake, and my Tach needle is waaaaayyy off! And its a pain to get right. Only take off the needles if you have to.
