proper stock identification

Ok...here is a question for all the experts out there...In 1988 the IROC-Z decal on the doors moved from the front of the doors to the back, the Z28 badges on the lower portion of the front fenders changed to IROC-Z. This identification was maintained between the 1988 and the 1989, and part of the 1990 models when Chevrolet only produced IROC's for half the year..., so now the all important question. On some cars I have seen underneath the IROC badging on the fenders, a decal that reads 5.7L Tuned Port Injection. What I would like to know is, which of the 3 years is supposed to have that identification, and if possible the RPO Code for that...would it be removed if the car was ordered with the stripe delete option that came available in 1988? I'm looking for the pro answer on this one...thanks folks!!!

To the best of my knownledge, if you ordered the 5.7 engine option you received the badges
on the front fenders and also on the left hand side of the rear bumper. No rpo # it replaced the 305 TPI markings of Tuned Port Injection at these same locations on the IROC
only.
