WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO PUT AFTERMARKET FOG LAMPS ON A '86 FRONT END? WHICH BRAND DO YOU RECCOMEND?

I would just get the "Bowtie" grille or "Camaro" grille used for fog lamps.

If it is legal where you live, take off the ugly front licence plate and its frame. I put the little round PIAA driving lights in the RS grille of my '92.

Only one problem with this, I measured them and the iroc grills will need to be cut down to fit in the hole of the SC grill. I mounted mine behind the grill and it looks okay, but I'm thinkin about cutting the grill if I can get a backup in case I don't like how it looks when I'm done.

Get a sport coupe grille with the foglamp opening. Fog lamps were an option. Here is a pic of mine when it was new (and obviously before I added gfx).



BTW, those same lamps and brackets are still on my car, just flipped upside down and bolted to the brace above. That is why they sit deeper into the grille than normal.

Hey NiteRider, I found this place selling parts on EBay, and he has a grille listed for $30 which may be the one:

Grille(w/ fog lamps,w/o Z28) 86-90

It's also possible it's not as the sport coupe grille only fits '85-'87 and the years he gives don't quite add up. I've never dealt with him, and so can't vouge for him, but you might check him out anyway here. Price sounds good to me though.
