Does anyone know if the 89 305 tbi had a bare aluminum intake, or was it painted black with the rest of the engine? I have 2 engines here one is a 91 and one is an 87 (my car is an 89). The 87 looks like it was originally black and the 91 looks like it was originally aluminum but someone took a spray can and painted what they could while the engine was in the car, so that too was half black. I'd like to make it look original. It an 1989 iroc convertible 305 throttle body. I haven't been able to find any old posts or pictures anywhere for an original engine. Thanks!

Every stock 305TBI I have ever seen from 88-92 had a black intake.
