Re: Need to know what color this is

I can't think of a Camaro blue that wasn't metallic. Could be wrong. ...either way, there's no for us to tell from the picture. Best bet would be to look through color swatches from a paint shop and choose that way. Or hit up and S10 forum.

What year s10? If it's original paint it shouldn't be hard to figure out the color.

the truck is late 80s I'll have to ask the owner to know exactly. I do know that is original paint, I work in a paint shop and have been through every swatch we have for gm no luck, I'll check with my paint supplier

Re: Need to know what color this is

Not sure if a Camaro came in these colors unless it was a base or Berlinetta. I think the light blue RS was metallic.

Im not sure on base models pre 1985.

The second one you sent is metallic , the first seems like it will be really light, I'm gonna mix a little and see later

Re: Need to know what color this is

It’s hard to tell from the pic because everything looks like it has a blue tint to it.. looks like the sun is going down..

light blue paint with blue afternoon shadow is deceiving..

I think Silverados and Sierras also had a non metallic light blue

Re: Need to know what color this is

I had time today and mixed a little of the 9662 pastel blue and it is definitely too light, I'll get a few more pics of the truck but I won't be daylight when I'm home till the weekend. And it's hard to get a pic without snow here right now, here's a pic of the paint I mixed today

Re: Need to know what color this is

If you can find out the year of the truck, you can then look up the available colors for that year.

Re: Need to know what color this is

It’s tough because he said not metallic..

there was only only a couple blues from 80s-90s S-10 that weren’t metallic..

Re: Need to know what color this is

The only non-metallic color blue I remember from back then was the dark blue. All the lighter blues, except maybe some special order colors, were metallic. I worked in GM body shops from 88-98, and 2000 until last year...
The metallic flakes used in those light blues was a fine or medium flake and once oxidized, they can look like a non-metallic color.

Re: Need to know what color this is

I was going to say.. that looks like a metallic color and those ones I found were the only non metallic.. Should be easy to figure out now..

Looks similar to an RS color.. IROCs didn’t come in a light blue like that..
