IROC cluster into Sport Coupe?

I plan on buying an 84 SC that is a real strippo job. Where the tach normally is, there is the gas gauge etc. Anyway, I as wondering if it would be possible to swap in the entire cluster(145 speedo, tach, etc.) from an IROC or Z-28 into this car without any cutting or fancy mods? Thanks for any help.

Yes, it will plug right in (at least it worked in my 84sc). Just be shure to change out the idiot light sensors for true gauge sensors,, the biggest PITA is the oil press sensor (I've yet to change mine so the gauge is pegged when the car is on).

Don't be shocked when you get a temp sensor & the car says it's running hotter then hell,,, I've tried 3 diff ones (delco, borg warner & whatever crap ones they sell at autozone)in my bird and they all read high,,
My gauge creeps to 22o° with a quickness even though the thermo (which is a robert shaw 18o°) has yet to open. I'm not shure of why this is,, but it is,,, if you can,, get the temp sensor from the car you get the gauges.

Hope that's of some use
