plastic bumper repair?
plastic bumper repair?
ok my 88 irocz when i got it has had some mild damage to it. but on the frnt bumper cover is broke. the lips where the bumper cover sandwiches to the fender are broke off andallowing the bumper to sag. i tried to get it to stay put by re sandwiching the piece that isn't broke no luck.. my question s would it be able to reglue these pieces back on and them hold it is a perfect cover other then that and i would hate to have to find another to replace it. if this plastic welding or pu glue repair stuff will work i would rather do that.
any insight would be helpful

You can re glue them. I'm having the same issue with my bird nose. I may save myself the trouble and have a shop do it though

Re: plastic bumper repair?
The problem with these tabs is:
1) They're intended to provied some amount of flex (for alignment,
and vibration.)
2) Once broken, they're very fragile to repair back to original strength
for above.
I have the same issue on my 'bird, and my intended solution will be to
re-inforce the tab with a thin metal (aluminum) backing with a large
area glued to the body of the bumper, that will provide adequate strength.
Good luck, and keep us posted.
