all you need is a 7/16th or 9/16th socket and wrench and remove like 4 bolts in the upper middle and like 4 or 5 underneath it and pull it right off...very easy...not even a 5 minute job...

Anybody have a suggestion on how to get the far left screw out from the defrost area? I was trying to pull my dashpad a few days ago, and that one screw only spins. I tried keeping tension on it by trying to pull the pad as I was turning the screw, but no luck. I quit cuz I was afraid I was gonna break the pad...

The screws are metric.

That screw is probably stripped. Try just pulling it out with some pliers, but keep your hand under it so you don't accidentally drop it down the vent.

Yup, they are metric.
Around 9mm I think, but I've used standard sockets on them before.

One "from experience" tip I'd like to share is to put a shop towel in/on the dash vent.

Just wedge a piece of the shop towel down the vent where the screw is and lay the rest of the towel across the rest of the vent.
This will prevent slippy fingers from dropping the screw down the vent.
If ya do lose the screw it will be very rare that you will get it back.
I dropped a socket down the vent once and got lucky that it did not drop all the way. I managed to pull the socket back out with a magnet tied to a string.

As for the stripped screw.....
Only thing I can think of is to put a flat tipped screw driver under the head of the screw and apply pressure as you are turning it with a socket driver.
Don't know if it will work for you though. I've gotten other stripped screws out using this method.

If you have a Camaro you have 4 screws up front inside the defrost vents. Remove those and the pad comes off.
