I am transferring a gfx package from '91 bird to '87 formula, and found that there is a long metal piece attached (probably some sort of weld)to the frame under either door that the main body gfx piece bolts on to. Can I remove this piece, or do I need to get a new set from the [gasp] dealer? I am assuming this piece is on all of the different gfx packages, T/A or Camaro...

 

I think that they have been spot welded on or something,this friday i'm going to try to pry the supports off 87 IROC.The GFX should bolt onto the fender and in the left hand lower portion of the quarter panel,and under the car.
