its a good start! =) maybe sand it down with fine grit and throw another coat on it to help with the stripes, hard work pays off

looking good , hope you don't find any body cancer . you will find a wealth of info. on this forum (plus a fair amount of B/S) . don't be afraid to ask questions . some questions might sound dumb/stupid . the only questions that "ARE" dumb/stupid are the ones that are not asked . good luck .

Looks good dude. Throw some thicker tires on those wheels and give it a pissed off look. I'm 16 and still on the hunt for my first 3rd gen.

Looks good! I'm only 16 and jobless right now, so I know how it is. You've done more than I have. I haven't touched anything cosmetic yet besides a new dashpad I got real cheap.
Keep it up!!

Re: just some before and after pics btw im 15 no job so be nice

Hi there,
You know, those Berlinettas are becoming more scarce every day. You might want to think about restoring it to original, if it doesn't cost too much. If it has all the original interior parts, and they are in good shape, that 's probably half the battle. Your taillights look in good shape; that's another distinguishing feature.

The digital dash was pretty cool, but the electronics were kinda dodgy (my best friend had one) so you are luckier you don't have one. More trouble than they are worth.

If that dark red was the original color of the car, it really looks good on the early third gens. You might want to consider going back to original. Just my 2

Re: just some before and after pics btw im 15 no job so be nice

I do understand that you were working within the budget you had but.....

While it does look better now than it did before? You will find out that body shops will really wince when they find out that it is rattle can paint on it. They will charge you more than if they had just started with the bad factory paint job due to the extra work needed to get rid of the rattle can paint so that good quality automotive paint can stick.

Shortcuts rarely work out in the long run & end up costing the person more than if it had just been right the first time.

Shame you've decided to sell. You sounded so enthusiastic. Be sure that's what you want before you let it go, breaks your heart otherwise.

If you can't afford a camaro you definitely can't afford a corvette. Just look up some vette stuff, it significantly more expensive and not a lot more performance. Not to mention what insurance will be for a teen with a vette.

Your young, you have plenty of time to get a hot rod you enjoy and can afford. Dont make hasty decisions. I've had my 92 camaro RS since I was 15 and I'm now 28. My 92 is my baby, yes it requires a lot of work and mods to get these to perform like new camaros and mustangs but its worth it. The handling is pretty comparable already.

Very cool, especially for a first ride. I had my 85 Red IROC TTop 4 days before I got my license. It was a good 4 days cleaning and buffing. Ended up totalled after I did gears, trans, tires, stereo, new engine.. A few days after I did subframe connectors, I T-Boned a dodge dakota, Some dumb girl making a left turn in the on coming lane... sad day, I torched it all apart, sold parts from it and eventually put the same subframe connectors on the IROC convertible I still have.

If you plan on keeping it, install subframe connectors.. It really does make the car better. Less rattles and squeaks.. it makes the suspension do its job better..
