I think Radio Shack have them. They are just a peice of wire and sticky tape you put at the bottom of the windsheild. You then just plug it into your radio. Pretty simple set up.

do these work as well as a regular fender type antenna? i would go for one and shave the antenna hole, but i would be afraid of not getting any reception.

you could always give it a go, and if it doesn't work take it back, all you loose is a couple hours time

I had one a long time ago(in the 80's) and the reception was questionable, but it looked good. You can go to the electronics board and ask the experts but I bet that since we never see a lot of them on cars they still don't work. I just changed to the Black rubber flexable smaller antenna for about $7.00 from Pep Boys. I like it a lot. It is more low profile, reception is great and it can't be bent or broken.

Harada makes an amplified one that goes anywhere in your car. You hook it up to 12v and it works like a champ. We put one in the roof of a 36 street rod we built and it works tops. You can get them at a stereo shop or a custom shop.

I just bought the one from Radio Shack and installed it....actually, it seems like this windshield mount one works a bit better than the regular power one that came with the car. I might add an FM signal amplifier though, beacuse up here in the Poconos and hilly regions, it might come in handy. Good luck.
