Turn signal question...

ok, i was cruising one day, my brights worked fine, and my turn signal works fine, i was going to turn to the right, had the blinker on, and tried to hit my brights off, well i pulled on the switch, and it turned my brights off, and my blinker off too...

i thought no big deal maybe i just put it back to its middle position, well since then, both sides of my turn signals work fine, but when i go to pull back on the brights, its like it doesnt catch and click on my brights, the headlights for the brights work fine, but i cant get it to click easily, sometimes it works fine, other times i have to beat it hard or fast to get it to click over, sometimes when i hit the switch, it kills my headlights all together(which is freaky going down the road at night ), and i have to tap the switch a lot to get them to come back on...

is there a connection loose maybe? where do i even start?

start with the switches themselves. My headlight switch is starting to go bad. My dimmer is all out of wack and stuff so try there first.
