WHITE FACE GAUGES

Hey, expanding on the white face guages article in the tech section, and actually creating and locating different templates for our cars I have created this guide

THE POOR MANS GUIDE TO WHITE FACE GAUGES
http://www.mikekey.net/fbody/whitegauges

Heres my end result from this weekends project:

Tell me what you guys think, and I'd love to hear if anyone does this.

My next to projects, blue bliners, blue notifcation area, and changing the color of your shifter.

I'm gonna have to redo the speedometer, I got rid of the KPH, I will find one for ya though and hook you up. I'm really proud of how the tach came out though.

Meteric should be easy, cuase thats the eninge I have, You could just take the image of my scanned gauged, and inverse the colors in photoshop like I did, then change all the big MPH to the lil KPH.

un4givin, could you please download the gauges that the the guy did in the tech section?
I LOVE those gauges, I like the little increments for each unit, instead of just the 1 increment between the 10's
Also dig the colour

I think my next project would be to get the ones for 91-92 and for TA and firebirds, etc. If anyone can scan their gauges for me.

Cool man, I did the same thing (are you using some of the files I made, looks like maybe so with alot of editing).

I've been really happy with mine in both my 87 Z and my old 86 IROC. They look great at night too (your night pic doesn't do em justice). Mine have held up well for awhile now too, I had some concerns about the glue lasting. What glue did you use to hold the paper on?

I need to get some pics of mine as they're a little different (IROC or Z28 logo in tach, 140 mph speedo, etc)

Wonder if anyone else has done any of these homemade gauges yet.

I redid my speedo yesterday. It just didn't look right, I'll get some updated pictures. Yeah Ray87Z I think I used some of your files, I went around and tried to snag all of the files I could of white gauges, the whole idea to make one big zip file with different templates for every engine. I found some more so I'll update the zip today. And I'll get some new pictures of my re-done speedo too.

I FINALLY finished the speedo gauge and printed it, but around the edges of the numbers is all rough. How can I fix this? Thanks.

what do you mean all rough?? The numbers? Or like the outline of the gauge. I left and outline so I knew where to cut.

Nevermind, I fixed it. The edges around the numbers and dashes came out bad. So I erased the numbers and used the text tool to add new ones. Looks much, much better. I also outlined it. Sorry to be a pain, but this is my first time using Photoshop. I'll post the gauges when I'm done.
