Two tone question
I'm going to paint my 1986 camaro sometime this year and was curious if any of you two toned your cars?
My question is how do you mask off after you get your first colour on? The masking needs to be on the fresh paint- would you have to wait to do the top after the bottom cured? Isn't there a spraying window for the clear?
I can't think of a proper way of doing this. I work in the painting field...I just haven't painted a car and really if I wasn't wanting a two tone I wouldn't have any questions.
I plan on using two stage urethane paints if that helps give you a clearer picture, thanks.

Re: Two tone question
They make special tape that is "safe" for use on fresh paint. The recoat window depends on the type of base you are using, it should be more than ample time for what you wanna do though. Most paint shop guys are pretty helpful and should be able to get you what you need.
