how do i know if my camaro is a true iroc?
Hi guys, I am new and have a very important question,
I just bought a 86 iroc z28 and I am wondering it it's a true iroc.how do I tell?

Step 1: make sure the vin on the sticker matches your car (lids and consoles can be swapped if damaged).
Step 2: if you have the correct sticker, one code should be B4Z, which designates Iroc.
Other items separate the Irocs from regular z28s. The search feature will help with that.

Thank you so much...parts id card in the console has the "b4z" and "z28" and the vin matches the vin on the title...so it is a iroc z28
the badge inside just says "camaro"not "z28 iroc"...so that's why I was confused.
It does have the tbi 305 and t-tops with rear drum brakes which I believe were optional in 86 correct?

Take a clear photo of your RPO code sticker and download it to your computer. This will act as a reference point while you search between this site and google looking up 'RPO decoder'. You should be able to learn what 90% of those codes are. Keep in mind that 27 years and multiple owners later, things may have been changed on your car; drums to discs as an example. Good luck!
