Undercoating yer F body :)
I thought i would pass on to you guys what Ive been doing for many MooNs, Undercoating the floor pans and wheel wells with roofing patch
I use Henry 208R :
--Also u can get at home depot
This stuff is great and xtra durable ! Seals up those seams really good, beats any rattle can undercoat spray. My instructions:
Items u need;
1 gal of henry 208r
1 painters disposable coveralls - this stuff is messy to work with and will get all over you and ur clothes .
Plastic to lay down under youre work area to protect your garage floor from becoming a mess.
2 paint brushes, whatever width you would like to use. I found this the best way to apply this stuff
Latex gloves
****
I used a metal bristle brush to loosen any dirt and debris from wheel wells and then a softer brush to follow up with, then air blow the wells out.
I removed the splash guards too.
Just go to town and start applying the Henrys in copious amounts, you may have to double n triple check ur application to make sure you dont miss any bare spots, its best to use a bright light to inspect.
This stuff does not dry fast, allow at lest 24 hours for it to dry if you dont and take for a drive your gonna get all that road debris/rocks/dirt stuck into it and it will end up looking like crap. get up into the wheel well lip too and spead that stuff good up there, will help protect against rust
When you do the front wheel wells make absolutely sure you cover up the rotors n calipers Really thoroughly, you dont want that goop all over youre brakes. I used several plastics grocery bags slipped over the rotor.

[QUOTE=Tibo;5570682]Did the coating harden like a paint would or is it still semi-soft. If you press in with your finger is a finger print mold/indent left?[its dry now with no gloss left. No indent if you press. Just reg undercoating I used.

It comes out Excellent ! Unknown as to the exact thickness but its not some cheap flimsy thin junk. I think the Henrys is designed to be a bit flexible, so it doesnt get hard and crumble away later on down the road. I wouldnt say once its dry that is neither tarry or hard. It doesnt stay goopy once dry .
