Changing Dimmer
Ok here is the thing. The Dimmer switch relay went out in my IROCZ. I bought the part already but I can't figure out how to get the old one out. The lights still turn on and thank goodness the dash lights were turned up high enough to see when the thing stoped working but I need to swap it out. Any info on how to pull that thing out would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

you have to get the **** off first, to do this you need the hush panel off, then remove the two bolts holding the fuse box in place.
From underneath you can see the underside of the dimmer assembly. There's a little button on the underside. Pull the **** all the way out, press the button from underneath and with a little wiggling you'll get the **** out.
Next, take off the trim panel that has the fog light / headlight switches on them off with a torx bit. you'll see a round cylindrical piece with a triangluar hole in the middle. This holds the dimmer assembly to the dash. You might need to remove the dashpad for better access to hold the dimmer assembly. TO remove the cylindrical "nut" use a pair of needle nose plyers on the front while holding the assembly with your other hand. It might scuff up the "nut" but it'll work again, if not get one from a u-pull-it yard.
Now, pull the assembly through the top of the dash, remove the wire harness and replace the assembly. not to sound like a chiltons, but installation is the reverse of removal.
