im getting bored with the way my car looks. I was thinking a vinyl or something to add some "flare" to it. what would u do or change about the car to make it pop?

Grid style tail lights and a bow tie front insert with the bow tie panted silver to match the ground effects. New front Parking lights.
I would say silver racing stripes similar to my design but you all ready have something on the hood. Oh well.
By the way that's a mean looking car you have there. Nice job......Love the true cowl induction. You don't see many of them here.
I don't have the box but am set up to at least pull some air from the cowl.
The "BUILT NOT BOUGHT" sticker is killer.
Sorry about crowding your thread with photos but that's the best way to visualize it on your car.

I thought about the stripe idea but wasn't sure if it would look right. the front markers are tinted black to blend in with the bumper.
Just paint the ground fx a different color. I went from silver to a deep burgundy color and it turned out really well. And if you end up not liking it you can always just paint 'em back or strip it off. Or heck, just go to the JY and buy a set of ground fx and paint them that way you have two sets and can swap based on how you're feeling lol.
Next time you blank out the plate, remember to blank out it's reflection also.
I get that all the time.
Even though you think you can read it , you can't.
I have taken many photos of the rear at different angels and since the paint resembles glass the reflection is there.
I'm not blotting out the paint in the photos, so I will have to live with it.
Back to topic please......

did you purchase the stripe kit or have it painted on? im thinking stripes or even a hockey stripe on side of car?
Similar to mine as far as the outside goes. Was thinking about those 91/92 gfx also. And one of those nice spoilers we see all the time. Like Ron's but wider. And ya, grid rears are expensive, but look fantastic. Something to break the paint up a bit, as mentioned. Wholly one color is blobbish. I'm going dual stripes. What about a dual color interior with bicolor seats? Is it dropped an inch already? Anyway, good luck and have fun. Just don't owe the reaper when it's done.
nah no radio in this bad boy exhaust is all I need
bought summit fast five rims and have them installed. looks way better. pics soon. I want stripes for hood and on the nose. where can I get a nice set for my car?
For a drag car, some people like the look when the rear tire has a larger diameter, more sidewall, and more width relative to the front tire. Right now, your front tire and wheel look to have almost the same overall diameter and sidewall ratio as the rear. This isn't a bad thing - the car looks very cool and actually looks like a period correct hot rod drag build. You can leave it as is and still have a great looking ride. Maybe just drive it more; that always makes me appreciate mine.

i bought bigger rims so the gap is more uniform. ill post pics. how wide of stripes should I put on a 4 inch cowl hood?
Wider than 3". . .narrower than 30" lol (I'll be here all night people!)
Ok, sorry. Anyway - I've seen varying widths, if you want to get a feel for it just buy a roll of paper and cut out strips at various widths. 1st gen Z28 stripes were about 13.5" wide (it varied slightly depending on the year).

heres camera phone pics of rims. not best ut show new rims
Stockcarfan24 said this earlier. That's a great Idea and exactly what I was gonna say because I actually did it, well I replaced the worn out one but I think it really does 1982-84 cars justice and make them pop. See what I mean

Red stripe above the silver ground effects would add some pop. Maybe paint calipers red to match too.
Thats a great idea, I posted a pic of what it looks like. I really think the red looks the best. I got mine from Phoenix graphix, I think it was $169 with the hood insert decals as well.

The stripes are all one piece, it's about 1 1/2 inches total. It's really 3 colors. A very small section is black along the bottom, you can't see it because its a black car. Then there's two shades of red. It's an exact factory replacement in size and color. They sell other OE colors as well if you like something else. I think the red is the most striking.
