Z28 hood blisters on a Daytona hood?

I am considering one of these hoods...

.... can these blisters as seen below be put onto them?

hey u stole my idea, as far as i know they will bolt right on because they will fit on iroc hoods, and have the same mounting locations as IROC louvers. if u do it send me some pics so i can see how it turned out

I do not think this would work. The hood blisters are just sitting on a regular flat hood. If you look at a IROC hood, the hood is not flat, but pulls up around the louvers in the IROC hood. So blisters will not fit on a IROC hood. The only way I can see it working is it the daytona hood is flat and doesn't pull up around the louvers like on original hoods.

I have that hood now and my original idea was to do this. It would be different for sure because I don't know of anyone doing this. I'm strapped for cash right now and can't find blisters for cheap. Plus I'd have to get them painted probably. I don't have anything in the hood right now but I just went and bought some paint yesterday to paint the louvers that I have lying around. I guess I'll put those in for a while.

Thats wrong. IROC hoods and the hoods with blisters are identical.

I've had both hoods, and people have put blisters on IROC hoods before.

Jay87Z is right. The IROC hoods are the same as the 91-92 Z28 hoods. When you take off the louvers/blisters there is an indenture in the hood that is the same shape as the louvers/blisters,so the blisters would fit.

DAMN THAT'S A GOOD IDEA. It will work on the Daytona hood. Where can the blisters be found?

I've seen a pic of a car that had it. It was a teal Z28 convertible. It had a Turbo 3.8L with a complete TTA interior. Maybe someone has the pic...

I think it looked better than using louvers.. but I didn't really like it since I don't like that hood much.

That's overkill. The Daytona hood is bad enough with the cowl, and the vents and the louvers. The car doesn't look smooth anymore, everything is piled up on the hood.

I agree, I think it makes the hood look way too busy. Kinda tacky. To me, that's in the same school of thought as putting a Z28 wing on top of the RS spoiler.

I thought it might look good, but after seeing that pic, yuck. Maybe its the color I don't care for. I wonder how they would look on a black car..

Yeah now that I see it I don't like it either. Or maybe as Metalli said it might be the light teal color. I have a Daytona hood and they look best on dark color cars. I have seen them on red, white, blue and now teal. I'll take the Black look with the regular louvers. I love the blisters and am planning on putting them on my '91 RS next spring.
