Here's what I've read so far, to those who will in the future read this post in the archives...

1) If you're going to put a 4th gen console in your car, it'll have to be a manual console.

2)Camaro comes in black, Pontiac comes in grey

3) 94-96 consoles have the front cup holders, no rear

4) 97+ consoles have the front cup holders and rear cup holders

5) If you have power windows or mirrors (like I do), check out GndPrx's car for how to put them and make it look nice

6) No, you won't have a shift indicator, but you can get a sweeeeet custom one from Dakota Digital

7) The shifter won't align correctly (for autos) without moving it over about 1/2 inch

8) It fits snug

9) Don't try it on camaros if you can help it

Now for my question...
I read that if I get the 4th gen console, my folding rear seats won't be able to go all the way down. I can understand that if this is from guys with the 97+ version with the extra cupholders, but if I get the pre 97, will I have this problem?

Also, if you could, list the place you got your 4th gen console from (I'm hoping for a black camaro piece - which is sold out at Speed Automotive)

Not all Camaro consoles are black. Actually I think you have it backwards, the Firebirds' consoles are black and the Camaros' consoles are grey.

Number ?) Camaro consoles are GREY. Pontiac consoles are BLACK.

Ok, the 93-96 Camaro consoles are black, all the rest 97+ Camaro, 93+ Firebird are grey. With the 97+ console the rear seats will not go all the way down this I know because I put a 2001 Camaro console in mine. I've not heard of the 93-96 consoles blocking the seats though.
