baked T/A dash worth it? '97 cluster fit a '97 dash?

OK, I can't make up my mind so I thought I'd post it...I found a complete '96 or '97 formula interior (the new dash style)in a junkyard and they guy wants $50 bucks for me to pull it. It's got grey cloth manual seats in good shape and the whole interior is there minus stereo receiver and console lid. The problem is this...the car was an engine fire, and even though the entire dash is intact, and not warped, someone smart pulled the passenger side T-top and the floorboard has standing water. My question is this...since the dashpads in new Z28's and T/A's are not as cheap and plentiful as IROC'z and other 3rdgen's, how hard would it be to fix the crack in the padding on top of the dash? It's not huge but definitely noticeable, about 3 inches long. It's also sun-dyed almost white. It needs to be painted either way...but this way I get the nifty dash that my 3 gages will fit into.

I was thinking this...the black T/A dash, with a Camaro cluster (will it fit?), Camaro steering wheel with audio controls, Camaro console and theftlock stereo, T/A black leather seats. T/A seats are for support and comfort...and looks. Not sure if I want to base this on my current cherry red interior or a grey or black interior. Any suggestions/photos welcome. Need to make up my mind B 4 they send that Formula to the crusher!

BTW: anyone need a disc-brake 4thgen rear? This car has one...I already have one!
