How long does it take to put these on?
I'm thinking of putting on some chrome valve covers this weekend (something to spruce up the engine). What i wanna know if how long it will take to put these on and how hard is it? Thanx

Depends. I can take my covers off and re-install them in under 10 minutes, but I don't have any emissions junk in the way. Removing all of that crap can be time consuming. Give yourself an afternoon and you should be good.

I would guess it would take me a Good 3 to 4 hours. I still have all the emissions stuff. and I am very familiar with my car.
It depends on your experience.
When I did my valve covers, I paid $50 for the pair, and the Stock rubber style seal would not work, I had to get a cork type like they use on Racecars.
GM makes a nice set for your Cevy Engine, it has the bow-tie & some stripes in Red. I would have gotten them if i had a Camaro.
I also like the Black plastic ones used on some vettes.

An afternoon is a realistic ammount time, and 80% of that is the emmisions crap. Taking it off and then remembering where the blasted stuff went back is the hardest.. Then expect another half an hour comming back to find the 1 stupid thing you didnt plug back in :-)
Well the reason I was really asking this is because on saturday i'm taking my car to my friends cousins house to fix the driver side window motor (finally). I figured if i had time, i put some nice chrome covers on...BUT, his cousin has to be gone by like 5 and i'm bringing the car there at 1...so crap. Oh well
