Anyone know of a product that can remove the tiny scratches and marks that appear on an older windscreen

Yes.... a new one. They're not that expensive, only about $150 or so "customer pay", if you don't have insurance involved; in that case it goes to about $450 with a $150 deductible. You do the math and see what's going on.
