Windscreen
Hi,
Is it possible to get a windscreen for a Thirdgen Firebird in the Uk or Europe. I don't know if the Camaros have the same windscreen as the Firebirds.
I am thinking of trying to take mine out as have rust holes in the A pillars each side of the screen. I think welding would be the best way to go but have to take out the windscreen in case it cracks with the heat from the welding. It is possible it will come out without breaking but if it does break what are my options. Has anyone removed the windscreen successfully?
Thanks.

Re: Windscreen
It's hit and miss if it cracks or not when removing it. If it does break there are plenty of paces that should have them in stock. I'm sure there are a few companies who advertise in the back of Classic American magazine. A quick goodle search also brought up the following:

Uroglass, Bromsgrove, Worcs, 01527 577477
Allglass, Thamesmead, 020 8 311 5663
I have no experience using any of these companies, as I said, they just came up in a 30 second google search. Hopefuly you'll get it out in one piece.
Out of interest, has your windscreen started to delaminate at all?

Re: Windscreen
Any decent windscreen guy should be able to remove and refit it for you.
Have a look for a local fitter - try to stay away from the big firms as they wont be interested - usually the local guy will help with stuff like this
