Good quality replacement windshield?
I tried a few searches to see if anyone had any complaints about specific brands of replacement windshields. I've been bitten before with an aftermarket glass being crappy quality on my G6 with severe optical distortion at the edges, an generally not fitting correctly at all.
But, sadly my GTA's wind shield has rust coming under it, and starting to leak near the top center, so along with its poor shape its time to replace it and take care of the A-pillar rust before it becomes a major problem.
However, I don't want to buy an aftermarket POS glass replacement.
My existing windshield has some pits in it, no cracks, but the safety layer that holds the windshield from shattering is separating internally so under direct sunlight the glare is horrible. It also makes for terrible night/rain vision as well.
I was hoping that some people could post their issues/recommendations against specific manufacturers for an aftermarket windshield.
PGW made the replacement glass for my 2006 G6 after it was chipped from stone damage through insurance and the quality of the glass was HORRIBLE. you could see road lines begin to "wave" when looking at the passenger side A-pillar. It also bowed upwards in the center and was too curved at the edges (aka it was curved like a banana and didn't match the car's body lines at all).
Thankfully I was able to complain and GM still made OEM glass for the G6, but thats not the case with our cars now.
So, looking for a good quality replacement windshield thats not have the tinted sun-shade at the top.
Recommendations?

Re: Good quality replacement windshield?
I've had good luck with PGW on both my '02 T/A and my father's '80 Corvette. No apparent factory flaws on either. I had Safelite install mine, was pleased with the install other than a few scratches that the installer put in the outer seal/trim.

PGW is the company that made the horrible glass replacement for my G6 that I had them remove.
