85 - 90 Ground FX

I want to swap ground effects on my TA (84). I looked at a 85-90 styled TA in the wreckers the other day and it looked like the front and back gfx were attached to the front facia and the bumper and there were four pieces between them and the wheels.. unlike the 84 style with two wrap around pieces.. Are those front and back pieces attached? or can I just get the gfx off without changing front facia and bumber too..??

Sorry to pass on the bad news bro, but they are one piece. The front and rear bumpers have the GFX molded in. Look on the bright side, you will get the newer bumper covers too!

You need to swap the whole thing. The same thing was done to my '83 TA. They swapped the original front end and rear bumper with one from an '86 TA. The only thing they didnt do was the gfx that go under the door and on the door...which I am currently looking for. Good Luck...and trust me it looks so much better once it is done. Would you happen to have the power bulge hood? Because I do...and I have to say I love the way my hood looks with the newer style front end. Once I get a digital camera I will post pics of my car...but if you go through with it I would love to see how it comes out.

Yes the front and rear bumper covers are molded to the GFX. W/ small pieces between the bumpers and the wheel wells. One piece on each door and 1 piece on the rocker panel.

I have a rear bumper cover and most of the GFX for an 85-90 T/A sitting in my garage. (at one point my dad was thinking of putting gfx on the 83)

I wouldnt mind getting them out of my garage

Four TransAm's are not enough. Firebirds for all.
