Overhead Console Install...How Hard??

Hey guys I was just wondering if all thirdgens came with the holes to mount an overhead console. Reason I ask if because im selling an overhead console with the screws and mounting pegs and someone wants to know if he could install it into his car without the console. Would he need a template or can he just put the pegs and screws in and go?

There is a tech artical on this if you haven't all ready read that. I believe it says to pull your headliner. I have heard of people pulling the stock light, mounting the console to the rear mounts, holding it up and marking the front mounts. I can't possibly see it being that hard, just tell him to take his time to keep from screwing up the headliner.

my 87 Formula, had the holes, and my 83 Trans Am had the holes too, so I assume from 83 thru 87 is a definate YES on the holes... I have talked to folks with later cars who have done it as well and they all had holes, but this is not personally confirmed...
