need help from my canadian brothers (& sisters)

aliright, i live in bc, and there is NOTHING for autowreckers around me. and what i plan on doing is tossing in a 4th gen console and leather seats. but what year car has the nicest console and seats. another thing i need are opinions on the nicest front nose piece, my 88 nose isnt the nicest looking for my car. the exterior of my car is kind of done to the nuts, and i need the nose to match the rest of the car. i was thinking like a 91-92RS nose, but your opinions are appreciated. i also need some guys in canada to help me out on finding a decent autowrecker or a place to buy new ish for my car.
thanks alot,
tyler

The auto wrecker row in Surrey (A-United, etc) may have some of what you are looking for. I would go to somebody who specializes like davidt in Edmonton.

His web site is www.davidt.com.

A little pricey I think but atleast you aren't dealing with the mercilous duty charged by Canada Customs on stuff shipped in from the U.S.

my .o2 cents worth.

Good luck...most of the nice crashed cars get snapped up by ICBC and auctioned off.

I am having the same problem here. I have bee looking for a set of 28 spline axels forever and I have had no luck at all. Parts are tough to come by and I totally agree with that customs crap! I just love the $45 brokerage fees if you want to fed ex it over the border. I have to send stuff to my aunt in the US and then get her to bring it over the border and say it is a gift. You do what ya gotta do! I don't think a 4th gen interior will fit in the back seat of her toyota though :d LOL

I was thinking about starting a parts source page for the Canadians. It is tough building a car when parts are 2 times as expensive buy the time they are landed here.

What do you think?

Iv'e Look and called all the autowreckers in BC there is nothing it sucks trying to find third and forth gen stuff here. I even tried Ontario and Quebec while I was there in the summer nothing there as well. I saw a smashed GTA on a towtruck and I chase him down and wanted to know where it was going so that I could buy it for parts and its like buddy said in BC ICBC and then there auctioned off . If you think paying twice the amount sucks take a look at GM parts in Canada $3000.00 for a 4th gen console new LOL thats crazy.

There is a Pick-a-part in between Kelowna, and a small town called Westbank. It's on the map.. Kelowna Pick-a-part has awesome prices, and last time I was there they had in stock 7 thirdgen's 1986 still with rear ends(average year), and two birds, nothing left on them, they get thirdgen's in fairly often.. I actually should check to see if there is anything else new.. Have not been there in a while, and it's about 4 hours from Vancouver up the Okanagan conector..E-mail me if ya would like me to see if they have a certian item, and I'll take the list with me.. I might go over there tomorrow.
just to ad a little bit I have some door sills available if anyone wants to buy them 1 tan (right), 1 blue (left), and 1 grey (right), plus the panel that covers the bolts for the rear hatch, in the blue & tan. (sorry for that laft bit, I know it's not tech, but I couldn't resist).

You're not kidding...gotta pick and choose what you want, then double and triple check all the details to make sure it's exactly what you're looking for.
Where in NB are you at? I'm located about halfway between Fredericton and Sussex on the current TCH, which is gonna be a lot quieter after Tuesday

Hello, I live in Prince Edward Island...lately there have been a lot of parts available for thirdgens...especially Camaros. Let me know what you need and I can have a look for you as I am at the scrapyards here quite a bit. I just got a mint condition dash pad at a local place for $25, not too bad so prices aren't high either. Email me at adamyeo@hotmail.com with a list of things you need and I will do my best to help yas out.

Hey fellow canucks!! I hear ya and feel your pain my 3rd Gen Brothers!! But if you think its hard getting parts on the mainland try finding something in Newfoundland!! I wonder if we could start a email distribution network! Like if someone knows where there are good Camaro/Firebird parts then email it out to the group! Maybe even if someone is going to a pick and pull email the group and maybe take orders!?>?!

Am I crazy about this?? It sure makes it easier than buying from the US!!

My brother has a 1984 Firebird parted out.. not sure what he has left but if we get this email thing happening I can certainly let ya all know!

So who is in on this crazy canuck idea??

best email addy to get me on is
