Press and hold the brake, and hit the gas. Don't rev it up and then put it in drive. Some say also not to hold the brakes hard and let the car roll a little. I'm not exactly sure on what holding them tight will do, so I just let it roll a little.

I've noticed if I am backing up and I shift super fast into drive while the car is rolling backwards I can spin the tires really good without the car moving before it gets traction.

are all of you serious; no wonder it took me forever and a day to find a camaro that wasn't falling apart.

personally, first leave the car in neutral. hold the brake and rev the car up to about 3500 rpm; once you get there drop it into gear and plant that foot to the floor!
(if your tires don't smoke something else will for sure)

*also repeating this same routine but in reverse will make for an even more smoke induced, girl getting event!! don't be surprised if you have to ask one of those girls for a ride home though.

just give it a little brake and a little gas. if you start to roll forward, give it a little more brake. if the tires don't move and the car feels like the engine is just gonna blow out through the hood, give it less brake. when you find the right brake point, you can pull this off.

doesn't look too bad for only 1 wheel spinning

if you're gonna rev it to 3 grand, then drop it into drive, after you do this, you have to make sure you pick your transmission back up off the ground.

if you hold the brakes in all the way, and slam the gas, you'll probably shatter the rear end, drive shaft, transmission, or blow up the engine. i've never tried this, but when you have the engine turning the gears, and the brakes holding them still, something along the way is gonna get destroyed.

MetalliCamaroRS has it right.

Jeezus... Talk about trying to find a car that's not falling apart, then tell them to do a neutral drop at three grand?! That's a great way to kill the tranny (they also call it a neutral bomb, and for good reason). But hey, if you guys want to do that, then by all means, go ahead. There are distinct advantages to knowing how to rebuild automatic transmissions...

The best way (that hurts the least parts possible) is to hold the brake (not hard), then get on the gas 'til the tire(s) starts spinning then let off the brake and at the same time jab the gas. But it's not something you'll ever find me doing. Not when it attracts the wrong kind of attention (most people just shake their heads, or it'll attract an a$shole cop). Not when a set of tires cost over $600 (for me anyway). Not while I only have a one-wheel-peel.

I already know this is inappropriate, but it has to be said: does anyone else find the name of this topic hilarious ¿

I am also with everyone who recommends not dropping your tranny

I would like to know how to do this with a T-5?!!?!??

Ignorant yes, but an honest question...

I want to be able to hold the car steady and peel the tires...I can easily get some steady spin frorm throwing it in 1st and jabbing the gas

91 RS 5 speed

Is it just a matter of holding in the clutch properly with the gas depressed...I dont want to burn out my pressure-plate....

new enthusiast.

However funny it is that your trying to blow up your car, this belongs in a non-tech forum, like nethirdgen.org.

After closing this, I'm reopening it and moving it to the Street Racing forum.
