Tell me what you think. I used to want it...but now I dont think I want it. I have a chance to get a good deal on it...but I would much rather have a spoiler from a '91-'92 Z28 or from a '91-'92 GTA...otherwise Im going to just replace it with the regular wrap around aero spoiler. Let me know what you think. Is it a little too high...is it *****? Do you think it would go with my car that has the powerbulge hood...my car is the same exact as in the picture...just red and has a powerbulge hood on it.

eh, i dont think it looks bad. i would have to see it from different angles, but judging from that it doesnt look too out of place.

I think you would probably be happier with a 91-92 spoiler.

I already made the decision that I would be happier with the Z28 spoiler...but I can get this one for $50 off the classifieds since it is located in my area. I cannot find a Z28 spoiler...or even an aerowing wrap around...and when I do..the people want some outrageous price. Actually I just noticed that GOFASTER just put this wing on his yellow camaro...take a look at it. I think it looks pretty good...but it is identical to the Z28 spoiler except that it doesnt touch the sides of the car...it looks chopped. I am still deciding though if I want this type of spoiler on my TA. I did want it a year ago to be different.
But yet GOFASTER got it already.

I realyl like that spoiler.. I'd put it on my Camaro, who makes it? It's also a functional spoiler too. it's got a lip on it to deflect the rear down.. Thats one thing the 91-92 spoiler is nice to look at, but it's not functional.

I like it, and for 50 bucks I'd get it. If you dont like it later, you can always sell it or just keep it. Not like you have a ton of money in it. I think it looks cool.

If you put a 91/92 style spoiler on how yoou going to attach it? They mount differant. They slide on two mounts on the window frame from the back and have two bolts on each side.

I looked for a Z spoiler many moons ago. Couldn't find one, but I did find the same one in a junkyard. Here's pics of that spoiler on my car.

Definately gets a giant thumbs-down from me. Too big and goofy. It would be one thing if it didn't jettison outward toward unsuspecting motorists behind you, but I'm just not liking how it has such a "detached" look instead of looking like part of the car.

I kind of feel like Jim, it does nothing for me. For $50 I might consider it, but I love the factory Aero Spoiler personally... Keep in mind the early T/A & base firebird simple wing always looked added on to me anyway. but i also feel like it is your car, if you like it do it. It does NOT look "rice" just a little overdone.

What do you mean the 91-92 ain't functional? The one on my car has a lip on the back of it to provide more downforce.

Really, your the first then.. the ones around here have no lip on the back..
So I've never seen a 91-92 z28 spoiler with a lip..

As for the spoiler in this discussion, where can I find one, where they available for our cars as an option? Who made them?.

It doesn't really make a difference in functionality as downforce only becomes applicable after the 90-100mph range. By the time you have to worry about downforce, most of us are crossing the finish line.

The spoiler does look good, not so much of the bleachers look... A lot of those types of spoilers are made entirely too tall, hence the look of a bleacher seat.

Just my 2...

I can't take my eye off the spinners. I love spinners. The spoiler is ok...but it has a touch of rice to it. I don't think the line between Barbie vanity and tough looking is very thin. This feels like Barbie style vanity. Personally, if you must change it, I'd go with the '92.

I don't like it. It just doesn't look right to me. I've seen one in person too.

I want one of those

In all seriousness, whatever floats your boat. That ride is definately original, and i love the car, except the spoiler. Not to say it is rice, but it does nothing for me. But im not big on any kind of aftermarket thing sticking up on the back of my car anyways.

I just bought that same spoiler for my car and it looks great. No dissapointments here, you do have to drill into your hatch. No pics yet though..
