How do you get it off? If I can't leave it off I have to paint it. Thanks

don't know about the camaro, but my 87 firebirds have 2 screws holding them on from the outside. thru the lens.

You might want to remove the spoiler. for a better paint job.

or are you talking about the cyclops on the rear hatch glass not in the spoiler?

If no one here knows, your library might have books on your car. look for the GM sevice manual for your year camaro.

in 86, the 3rd brakelight on camaros was at the top of the hatch, not the spoiler. i have no idea how to take it off though

 

the black cover comes off with the two screws on top. i dont think you can remove the rest of it.

 

Two screws go through the glass to mount the brakelight. I know, mine fell out when the hatch glass broke.
