86 Z third brake light howdo you take it off and can you leave it off?
How do you get it off? If I can't leave it off I have to paint it. Thanks

don't know about the camaro, but my 87 firebirds have 2 screws holding them on from the outside. thru the lens.
You might want to remove the spoiler. for a better paint job.

or are you talking about the cyclops on the rear hatch glass not in the spoiler?

Two screws go through the glass to mount the brakelight. I know, mine fell out when the hatch glass broke.
