Metalic orange paint job?
Lots of new cars have that metalic orange paint, even the new Firebirds. Anyone put this color on? pics?

Sunset Orange, used on the new 4thgens, is pretty close to the orange used in '88 on the Camaro. My '88 IROC is this color, and I don't really like it too much (except on the rare ocassions when the angle and light are just right), which is why I plan to repaint it Hugger Orange (actually a metallic shade of Hugger Orange if I can get it custom mixed properly).
The Plymouth Prowler shade of orange seems to be a lot brighter shade. Not quite as rust colored. And as everyone knows, it looks great on thirdgen TransAms.
Volvo and Ford have shades of orange right now that are much more towards the yellows then the reds. Haven't really looked at imports lately to see what they are wearing.

I walked out in my driveway this morning and you wouldnt believe it, someone painted my car prowler orange
Prowler Orange isnt just metallic though, its also got two pearls in it, so sometimes it red, brown, or orange.

I think sunset orange or prowler orange looks awesome. It is different but it is still a bit understated and not overly gawdy. Some colors get tired if you are not careful but those shades are softer and I don't think they will go out of style.
