how do I remove cluster needles?

Exactly what the topic asks, how do I get them off? I'm upgrading from speedo, gas & dummy lights to a full gauge package, and want to make up some whiteface gauges while i'm at it (nobody has ones in kms! grrr). Only trouble is, the needle is standing in my way. Any suggestions?

you need to pry it off. you have to be careful to pull equally on both sides, or you could break something. if you pull hard enough, you can pull it off with your fingers, but it takes some force. it's much easier if you get something that you can slide under both sides and just pop it off.
