Reverse Opening hood

Anyone know if there are kits to convert your hood to reverse opening style? (honestly, i don't know what to call it but that sounds right at the moment)
I've seen it done (anybody see the horsepower TV episode whith the colour changeing camaro with dual turbo's and reverse hood??? mmmmmm) and it looks pretty cool

Is it possible to do without a kit? and if so what is involved.

Yeah that car was in the last Camaro Performers. The color is Extreme Ocean 7 that changes colors three times, I wish I had the money. Mybe something could be pulled off a vette? They had those hoods.

That guy and wife was at the cruise for charity in Springfield,IL. in Sept. He's from southern IL. I talked with him for a while. I think he told me the hinges came off of a Riveria. I know it was another GM car. He said it took him and his wife 3 years to build that car. Working on it every day. Sure wouldn't want to work with my wife every day for three years.

My friend Sean did it to his 90 Formula 350. Used hinges off of a Saab I think.
Car is sweet, but he recently blew the motor and tranny.
Car is white with a blue pearl.
He used to live here in VA but moved to Jacksonville FL about 7 months ago.

I fail to see the point. My hood works just fine.

Probably NOT a Riviera, But the late 80's early 90's LeSabre had the reverse opening hood... Pretty sweet too, you would pop the hood & the front would come up, then you would rock the hood forward. there are 2 little rails & clips that hold the back of the hood down if I remember right...
