Collectors Edition Nostril Decals???

What do you think these would look like on my car. Just these nostril decals, not the ones that are on the side of the collectors edition. They would be more subtle on my car cause its not as much of a contrast as if it were on yellow. Just an idea,,,,,let me know.

Would they be available yet?

Again, I'd have to say don'd do it.

"Ties:

Was this Eclipse Turbo the 1st or 2nd generation? A kid at school has a 1st gen Talon TSI(I'm pretty sure, or else he's one lucky b@stard... not that a nice 3rd gen Z28 isn't good ) He's always talking smack, he's like:

him:"What kinda car you got?"
me:"87 Camaro Z28, 305 TPI... stock for now"
him:"Is it IROC?"
me:"No, but when I've got my mods on it, it'll be better than an IROC"
him:*he pauses for effect*, and you can see the hard thinking look on his face "I'll race you"
me:"What do you have?"
him:"Eagle Talon TSI Turbo, AWD"
me:"Uh huh, and I'll win"
him:"Well, do you have a 13second car?"
me: so I'm thinking *what in the hell...* "Umm, no, but neither do you."
him:"I know, but after Christmas I'm getting a 13G(exactly what he said) turbo put on, and I should be in the 12's"
me:"Um, ok. I've seen a 3rd gen Camaro take a Supra off the line, and for almost 3/4's of the track."
him:"Yeah, but that's not turbo"
me:"Um, yes it is"
him:"Well, it's not the same"
me:"Dude, a Supra is like 300hp stock.. well, at least 280 give or take."
etc etc.

Anyway, so what are my odds of winning if my car is stock besides Flowmaster 3inch American Thunder Catback?

Just wondering, I wanna get this dude to shutthehellup.

The one i raced is not the newest ugly body style, but its the style from "the fast and the furious"

his is the style before that rite? you might be able to take him, Im not sure exactly how fast they are

....but Im stuck thinking...a Talon TSI is the Turbo all wheel drive ones,
him:"I know, but after Christmas I'm getting a 13G(exactly what he said) turbo put on, and I should be in the 12's"
why is he gonna put a turbo on his turbo car, he's allready got a turbo from what he says.

also you will win hands down if he doesnt know how to drive, my friend has a TSI and says if you launch to hard and dont know how to drive all wheel drive you will sit there and bog down.

anyway in conclusion...give him a run, we'll see what happens

If he knows how to drive, I hope you like Talon taillights.. if anything it will be VERY close.. he may be a 4cyl but never underestimate the power of Forced Induction... When my T/A was stock I raced a friend of mine with a 90 Eclipse GS-T (FWD Version) and I got him off the line because he spun, but then at about 65-70 he just blew past me.. the GSTs have killer punch at highway speeds.. the AWD versions are better down low, but they both move damn quick..

It sounds to me like he is talking about UPGRADING to a larger turbo for more boost. Turbos are like any other speed part, they make bigger and better versions. Dont underestimate the DSMs at all. 1G and 2G Talon/Laser/Eclipse models can be made DAMN fast.

Just letting you guys know!

Yeah if he knows how to drive well or has ANY mods, he'll beat ya. These cars run low 15's stock. With a couple mods, not even including intake and exhaust, just a BOV, they can run mid 14's. The 13G is a bigger turbo. That, combined with intake and exhaust, and maybe an intercooler, make's these cars pretty lethal. I've been looking at getting a 1st or 2nd gen DSM as a winter beater.

Oh and a Talon Tsi isn't necessarily AWD. There are TSi's and TSi AWD's (those are the model names). The first of the two is FWD turbo, and the second is AWD turbo.

Look at this recipe for a 2nd gen (2nd gens are VERY SIMILAR to first gens....)

Boost Gauge ($55-$200)
Blow Off Valve / Compressor By-Pass Valve ($85)
Boost Control ($10-$50)
High-flow Catalytic Converter (Cat-Con) or Test Pipe ($35 / $100)
BOV Return / Dump Tube (free or $5 to be reversible)
Cone Type Air Filter ($85)
Upper IC Pipe ($65)
Cat-Back Exhaust System ($490)
Downpipe ($220)

Boom, for about a grand the car's running High 13's to low 14's.

Another two grand and you've got high 12's....pretty quick indeed.
