84 to 91-92 gfx swap
Hey guys,
I've decided that I want to swap out the gfx on my 84 Camaro to the gfx from a 91-92 Camaro. I have a few questions I need help with before I start.
1) Do the gfx from the 91-92 Camaro simply bolt on in place of my existing ones? Or do I have to replace front/back bumpers as well?
2) If I do have to replace the bumpers to the 91-92 style, will they just bolt on or will I have to make modifications.
3) Are there any modifications that need to be made when throwing on the side gfx from the 91-92? Or will they bolt on no problem?
4) I also want to swap out my 84 spoiler to the aero wing from the 91-92. Is that as simple as removing the original and bolting the new one in place?
5) I'm having a hard time finding a full 91-92 gfx kit. Are they really hard to find? Should I just try to find all the pieces separately or is there a website that makes/sells after market 91-92 gfx?
To be precise, this is the exact kit I'm looking for:
Thanks in advance for the help

Ecklers sells the whole kit. Bumpers and all for like $1600.
You will need to replace the front and rear bumpers. It should bolt right up.
I worry most about the wing. I bet the holes are different.

Re: 84 to 91-92 gfx swap
I have an 84 that I just recently swapped to the 91/92 style.
My car was an SC and didn't have any GFX to start with, but I bet you'll have to do the same.
You will need to swap out the front and rear bumpers.
I seem to recall when I was searching for this, that the slots in the fenders might be different from what you have currently for the front chin.
The spoiler you'll have to fill in the holes on the sides and I think the holes on the deck are in different spots too.
The holes in the door might be different too. Seems like I remember seeing that mentioned too.

Re: 84 to 91-92 gfx swap
Thanks man!
Has anyone on here bought this specific kit? And if so, did it fit nicely or were there problems?
Also does anyone know if this kit will fit onto my '84? The website says it's not compatible with the '84 Camaro, but others have said 91-92 bumpers bolt right on. I'm aware I'll probably have to make a few mods to the ground effects, I'm just wondering about the bumpers.

Thats not aero body kit. Its just a iroc style kit. Your best bet is to go to a junk yard and strip a nice set. You need everything off the car tho. Even the lower door pieces to the rear quarter gfx. I have an 84 z28 and did the swap years ago and it was a pain int he *** but totally worth it.
