Hi how are you guys doing?.
my annoying tops leak.whats new??
well i have a powder coated center piece and i was wondering what the procedure is for replacement of that piece.

Yes but i meant i have a new t-top bar that i have powder coated.
Im wondering if anyone has ever dealt with a center piece that was so bad that it caused leaks.because my seals are all thier and dont look horrible

I have no idea on how to go about doing the swap.
Or does this piece i have just sit atop a actual part of the cars body????

Oh ok, I understand now.
That bar is held onto the car's roof with 6 screws (I believe). You have to take your headliner out, and carefully peel back the weather stripping (might as well replace it if it's original or got some age on it) to get to the screws. Some prying may be needed to get the old bar off.

You do need to pull the weatherstripping up and out of the channels of the center bar.
There are four screws under that stuff.
If the weatherstripping is glued on, you might seriously want to consider replacing that, too.
If not, remove it, clean the mess up around the t-top openings and follow the t-top water leak repair guide found on the net to correctly seal everything up.
