HELP! replaced trunk lid motor worked twice now lid wont stay latched!

Engine: 5.0 4bbl
Transmission: 700-r4
Axle/Gears: 2.73 G80
HELP! replaced trunk lid motor worked twice now lid wont stay latched!
I replaced the trunk lid pull down motor . worked twice stuck in down position and lid wont stay down ! and suggestions?

solved the slides disintegrated upon assembly put pieces till I get new slides
