Changing fuel pump...different question:)

I have the rear of the car up and noticed I have about 15 holes rusted through my exhaust pipe...so, knowing I'll need a new cat-back,...

If I was to pull the exhaust, it sure looks like dropping/lowering the rear end to drop the exhaust to get to the tank , will not be needed...am I right, or do I still need the extra room to get the fuel lines lower?

thanks.

Re: Changing fuel pump...different question:)

When I replaced the fuel pumps on my base '91 and my '88 I had to drop the rear end to give me the room to drop the tank. This was in addition to removing the exhaust. Need to give yourself as much room as possible. Almost have to flip the tank. Good luck.

Thanks...man, it sure looks like the tank would clear the rear-but I don't have the heat shield off yet to get a proper view.

Oh well, gotta kill a few black widows under there first anyways.
