Quick question about painting headlight buckets
When painting the headlight buckets, should I mask first and then scuff the paint, or scuff the paint first? If you scuff first, how do you keep from accidentally scuffing the paint outside the headlight bucket? If you mask first, does the scuffing damage the masking tape?

Re: Quick question about painting headlight buckets
Or.... you can mask off then plastidip them. Finally got up the ambition to do mine the other day. $7 and a roll of tape. Mess up? peel it and redo. Use at least two heavy coats and remove masking before completely dry.
P.S. If you want a good clean line around the curves, use pinstripe (vinyl in rolls) around the edge first, then mask up to it with regular tape.
