Hi,

I have an 82 Firebird. I restored a while back. The wheels I got with it are not original. They are from an 84 upwards car I think. These are quite common on the Firebirds as far as I am aware. I have seen pictures of these wheels with center caps. The question I have is since my car is 1982 with 82 back axle and front wheel hubs can wheel center caps be put on. The best thing is to look at another car but there are only a handful of Thirdgens here that I don't have anything to compare to. I have attached two pictures of front wheel and back.

yes that type of wheel was introduced in 84.
the axle and hub on your 82 is the same as later cars and you will have no problem with the center caps for those wheels being put on your car

you should have no problems with center caps as stated rears are interchangeable 82-92 besides gear ratio and disc vs drum
