Factory tow points?

Hey guys - I've been researching a ton on this place for recommended tie-down locations when loading the thirdgen onto an open trailer. I've decided to use the factory tow points to ratchet it down. I just want to make sure I'm looking at the right locations underneath the car:

Here's what I think is the tow point the front driver's side:

And here's a shot from the back driver's side:

Do I have this right? Are those circled locations where the factory tow points are located? Thank you!

That's what I used when I towed my 'Birds home when they die in the city.

I wanted to, but can't. The trailer connection points are underneath the car...no where near the tires.

Re: Factory tow points?

Those are the points to use. I don't use wheel straps on my hauler, allows the body to bounce around. Best to keep everything stable. For the front, don't apply much side load , the tabs can bend. Yours looks clean, but we should be aware many third gens are too rusty to use frame points on a hauler. I strapped down a 91 that was so rusty, the tie down strap pulled the rear frame rail right off!
Make sure you are using straps with enough "working load" rating.

Re: Factory tow points?

Thanks guys. I appreciate the confirmation. Yeah I just purchased 4 ratcheting tie-downs. They are 2" wide and rated for a 10,000 lb breaking point with a working load limit of 3333 lbs. Hopefully more than enough for my needs.

Yup that's what I use. Watch out for the ratchet hitting the front bumper and air deflectors.
