Anyone bought Fairchild plastic t-top drip edge moldings?

Has anyone bought the Fairchild plastic t-top drip edge moldings from Rockauto?

I got mine today and I'm very disappointed in their quality. The plastic has a bunch of nicks all over the edge that faces outward. And on the bottom part of it, a bunch of nicks and small chunks missing from the plastic. It's not that bad, but it's very uneven. The edge is very rough. I would sand it, but I want that edge to extend as far as possible to keep water out.

They did a lazy job with the 3M molding tape, too.

I guess you get what you pay for. Has anyone else bought these Fairchild drip edge moldings from Rockauto? Maybe I got a set that was returned by someone else? Should I gamble on returning for another set? Or should I just get the 1AAuto ones?

Have any pix?
I think they have weatherstriping for our cars and its a VERY good quality from what I've seen and heard. Its the closest to OEM look and feel.

Here's a bunch of pix:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/676902...7646054616772/

It wasn't packaged very well, just in some newspaper and a plastic bag, but I doubt it was damaged during shipping because the box was fairly tight horizontally, so they don't move around much in the box. If anything would be damaged, it would be the ends, since those are the ends that touch the box. The middle of the edge moldings has a lot of space and does not even touch the box.

It looks more like poor quality casting. The black plastic that faces out also has color imperfections.

I have the plastic drip edges but I'm not sure who manufactured them. Mine look nothing like those, I am very happy with them in fact.

I received mine in similar shape. Obviously that looks like crap, so I'm just going to order the rubber replacements, maybe those will be better.

We carry them, I actually did the leg work for you guys and put these into development a few years ago for you, because they weren't readily available.

If there's ever an issue with anything that you guys receive from us, call our sales staff right away, and we'll help you out.

Our weatherstrip is made very well. We also offer free shipping on all orders, and have recently upgraded warranties on tons of products, that I think you guys will enjoy.

Looks just like the NOS factory drip edges I have bought straight from GM b4.
I used a hand file and cleaned them up. Even seen them like that on a factory car.

Mine looked just like that, and I got them from 1A. Everyone sells the same product. How many companies do you think are making obscure drip rails for a handful of cars?

I have been looking more carefully at different pix of ones for sale, and examples of them on people's cars, and it looks like you're right, they all seem to have these imperfections. Maybe I should just be happy I didn't have to pay too much, and sand them down to look a little better. Or maybe just buy the rubber ones.

So if I buy your version of the plastic drip edge moldings, they will be much better than these ones I got from Fairchild? Would you be willing to guarantee free return shipping if they are not?

I got the hard plastic ones from 1A and they looked great. No blemishes or any type of chips/nicks.

People do forget how crude these cars were when new.
