Group Purchase on wrap-around Firebird wings

Just FYI, if anyone is needing a new wrap-around rear wing for a 'Bird, be sure to check out the Group Purchase board. Hawk's is running a GP, and currently lacks 3 orders to complete it. I thought it might be useful to cross-post here, for anyone who doesn't check the GP board.

I've seen one person post here who had that experience. Several others who have them with no complaints / problems.

Do you feel it's a bigger problem than that?

I think most have only had the wing a couple years at most. I'd like to see how they hold up long term, meaning 5+ years.

I need one too, so I hope I can see some proof of them lasting.

Personally, I'd get this, even if it means drilling new holes:

Best looking 3rd gen spoiler. E V E R.

Plus, it covers up the square rear of the hatch glass, which looks out of place.

I have to agree, I bought one for my formula. I had to get the correct wrap around for my wifes 87 gta though.

I have had a repro aero wing on my GTA for well over a decade and have had no cracking issues whatsoever...knock on fiberglass. Mine was one of the original GT Auto Accessories wings.

Same here, and it still looks beautiful. I remember my body shop telling me it needed very little prep prior to paint.

Re: Group Purchase on wrap-around Firebird wings

Mine arrived yesterday, in good shape. I ordered a foglamp at the same time, to save on shipping, and it was in good shape too. When the UPS Freight driver asked what it was (huge, but very light), and I told him, he said he was the original owner of an '87 Camaro. We traded a few f-body stories before he had to move on to his next delivery.
