fast trivial question
Hi guys,
I would like to ask if in this video the front "turn signal" lights are turned on, or if it is just the light reflection. I'm asking because I'm from Italy and I'm about to purchase a GTA.
thanks!

Re: fast trivial question
Since the tail lights are on, I'm assuming they have those lights on as well, since, at least for my base '87, there's a switch to flip for just those lights or for the main headlights. But when I turn my tail lights on without the headlights, the turn signals come on as well.

Re: fast trivial question
Theres parking - only yellow ones without headlights.
Low beam (headlights up) - both headlights and the turn signals are on

Re: fast trivial question
damn, kinda complicated :S
What are the lights that are always turned on in a GTA? I mean, expect of headlights and turn-signal lights?

Fog lights ? They come on w/parking lights(turn signals), there is also a switch to keep them off.
Not exactly sure what you mean.

Re: fast trivial question

the only difference compared to european cars is that you can turn on both front turnlights and call them parking lights ..thats it.Its not illegal in EU but it is a curiosity to share your friends about whats special about american cars

Re: fast trivial question

hahaha sorry, that was my question actually: the difference between european and USA cars. Here, you cant turn on a turnlight. But they say USA cars can, they normally have all turnlights on. Is this true? If they are on, how can you signal where you are going to turn?

Re: fast trivial question
Newer cars - say mid 90's in US started "day time running lights", but only the head lights on some cars have these, not the tail lights. Not all cars have this feature. My 07 pickup truck does not. I think they got away from it.
Even so, a turn signal is a turn signal ... it blinks.

Re: fast trivial question
In EU we have to use that daytime running lights outside the cities not only highways.I always pop up the headlights outside the city...wonder if I just use the orange turn signals as daytime lights if they would say anything ...theres nothing in the law that says you have to use the headlights as daytime lights or that the light its not suppposed to come from the turn signals .
....its damn confusing.Have to check how much is the fine before i do this s***
they blink when you use turn signal and stay on when you dont.
During the day having the headlights popped up it ruins the look on the car ...especially to those who see you coming in their rear view mirror .Thats why I dont know if in EU those yellow/orange lights could be used as daytime running lights.I bet if i ask a 10 cops I'll get 10 different answers.

Re: fast trivial question
So we can say:
1) turn signal light always and only blink
2) when they dont blink, they stay turned on always
3) ==> signal lights are always on
Am I right?
Where are you from FirebirdUSX?

Re: fast trivial question
You can use the turn signals without turning both on Its not like they start with the car .
I never turn them on ,except when i use the headlights since they turn on with the headlights and i cant do nothing about it.

Re: fast trivial question
Not always on unless you turn them on via switch, same with Fog lights, they have a switch.
If you turn head lights on, Parking lights come on along with side markers, Side markers in front also blink with turn signal.

Re: fast trivial question
You basically have three options for the "turn signals" as you mention them.1)you flick the turn signal lever on the steering column down to make left turn and up to make a right turn.2) you have the parking lights on but hitting (p) on the headlight switch or 3)you have the headlights on.
